More anti-atheist ignorance?
Hi. I haven't been here in ages but I'm back with another gripe.
It's with this article on a site called Popeater. It criticizes Ricky Gervais' jokes at the Golden Globe awards, but then they threw in this:
What the fuck? It's like being an atheist is the worst thing you could be.

To make matters worse, though, Gervais' last words in the telecast were, "Thank God for making me an atheist." Smooth move!

Now why would they give the impression that being an atheist is okay? Being atheist means you no longer believe in their fairytale, you're no longer playing "their game", so why be nice or respectful of you (an athiest)? Although I feel that statement was made with sarcasm, the media has twisted yet another persons words to mean foolishness.
