I found this blog post while researching corporal punishment news for P-TAVE (Parents and Teachers Against Violence in Education). I am appalled that people are so okay with this that they post it for the world to see. I can't believe the idiocy of these parents and I have much sadness for these poor children.

Obeying Jesus
Yesterday morning started off wonderfully. Then, about mid-morning, Gilbert couldn't take it anymore and started to act like a 2 year old:) After telling him twice to do something and having him not obey me, I said "ok, come with Mommy, you need a spanking." He followed and I sat him on my knee and proceeded to tell him why he gets spanked, something we do every time he is disciplined. It went something like this: "Gilbert, Mommy loves you soooooooo much and when you disobey, I have to spank you. Do you remember who Mommy is obeying when I spank Gilbert?" To which he answered in almost a whisper "Jesus." I said "Very good! That's right." Then proceeded with the spanking which always ends with asking forgiveness from Mommy and Jesus, then lots of hugs and kisses. He was allowed to go back to playing. About 2 minutes later, he disobeyed again and I told him to come with me, that he needed another spanking. He got up from the floor where he was playing and started pleading with me "No obey Jesus! No obey Jesus!!!" I had to bite my tongue to keep from laughing at that one, but we obeyed Jesus instead!:)
