Why is god so pissed off at people in India? (particularly children). Seems to me that with all of the prayers- prayed for these people over the years by millions of people, god would have made some changes there, but no. What a dick that guy is.

on the opposite end of luck of the draw, consider Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge. He will never emerge from a shit hole nor will he likely have such a cool mustache or haircut as this poor bastard.
I'll be sure and copy & paste that Joan. Napoleon, the guy works in a real shit hole. It's the luck of the draw that we were born where we were..
I wish I could be gentle and loving, but in the face of behaviors of self-centered, greedy, cruel and stupid, I can only report what I know religion to be: asinine, confused, contradictory, deceptive, deluded, disjointed, egregious, fallacious, false, fatuous, humorous, idiotic, illogical, implausible, inadequate, inchoate, incipient, incorrect, invalid, irrational, irrelevant, meaningless, misleading, mistaken, muddied, nutty, outrageous, phony, preposterous, rudimentary, silly, specious, unbelievable, unconvincing, unintelligible, unreasonable, unscientific, unsound.
And I am having a good day! When I have a bad day I will reveal what I really think.
Peter, the "all knowing god" could not have added addendums to the gospels over the years, keeping up with changing times and people. Who would do the adding? Which tribal person or descendent of them? Who would believe it even if this did occur? The word "gospel" simply means "good news" and that good news is that "Jebus died for you." Nevermind the fact that we all die naturally anyway, and that the Old Testament god is a tyrant, the "supernaturalism " that we surround our "bible" with was a one time deal in which 66 books that are not even related came together as one story that they want everyone to believe. It's totally preposterous!
God can't add to the bible or the gospels because he did not write them. It's like giving god money. My method is to throw the money up in the air, and god can catch what he wants. What falls back down to earth is mine. God is imaginary!
Like my late grandfather used to say, people could do miraculous things in bible times. Once Moses tied his ass to a tree, and then he walked 40 miles! It took me a few years to get that one.
This is the big flaw with the god concept. This omniscient being would certainly have known all of this this (or at least added addendums to the gospels over the centuries to keep up with the changing times and people).
I'd not thought of the rib story in a long time. wow.
The christian god concept is vulgar. I really should say the "abrahamic" god. Why wouldn't this all-knowing entity have been addressing human women as well as men when "he" inspired the books of the bible (and Qur'an)? I would cite "coveting another man's wife" as a great example. The writers lumped livestock and women in the same chattel kettle (along with slaves and land).
Why is the ownership of other humans not discouraged in the form of a commandment (Thou shalt not buy and sell other people.)
Why do 'believers' discount these questions? To me they reflect how archaic "men" were when they wrote these books.
I suppose God thinks of the people of India about the same way he does of amputees, but if you live in America and belong to the Assemblies of God church, you will prosper!
But didn't god create those heathens? I just wonder why only certain people are privileged enough to receive the "word" and others, not. That always seemed like god had created an exclusive club for some people but excluding others. His own creations, his own children.. tsk...tsk. Thanks for the link. I'll enjoy reading that over dinner later.
