Cardinal explains what pope meant with gay comments..

Cardinal Dolan (the same one who paid priests to leave and the same one to shuffle over 50 million dollars into a safe, untouchable place). He's as corrupt as the day is long and stands firmly against LGBT, women's rights/issues etc.

Love the homosexual, hate the act of homosexuality. Huh? How does that work?

If this "pope" wants to do something(s) significant on this planet, he should promote realism. Let priests marry, allow women to be ordained, re-affirm to African people that condoms are a real approach to the AIDS epidemic in their country (and everywhere else). Rather than focusing so much on saving souls, I would recommend saving human lives by feeding and educating them..let the mission become real-time help for humans.. on a continuing basis and put the soul-saving on the next level down.

Loren points out that the status quo and he talks about the background handlers (those pesky sideboys). As they age and die off, perhaps a more progressive group will someday run the vatican..maybe when it's led by a woman.

When do prosecutors, if ever, get the backbone to file criminal charges against people like Dolan under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act? Yeah, a few of the pederast priests occasionally get dinged by the criminal justice system. But the big boys, like Dolan and Bernard Law, have an easier time skating away from their participation in these conspiratorial offenses than Brian Boitano.

Ohh, and allow me to say once again, I find absolutely nothing ameliorating in Pope Frankie's statement on LGBTs.

Is this really a surprise?  The pope wants to at least attempt to move things forward, if only fractionally, as regards social issues.  Meantime, his foot soldiers who are students of  the OLD playbook, act to attempt to keep things status quo, as they've always been.

Once again, the catholic church refuses to change, and if its leader attempts to foment even the most minor and insignificant alteration, his side boys are there to insure that no, we really DIDN'T mean that.

If there is a fast track to irrelevancy, the RC church is on it.
