FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — The Texas Republican Party would endorse psychological treatment that seeks to turn gay people straight under a new platform partly aimed at rebuking laws in California and New Jersey that ban so-called “reparative therapy” on minors. June 5, 2014.

Texas' State Constitution, Article 1 Section 4

"No religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office, or public trust, in this State; nor shall any one be excluded from holding office on account of his religious sentiments, provided he acknowledge the existence of a Supreme Being."

This is Texas NOW,........not some time in the dark ages. Great huh..........

I wonder if they have "reparative therapy" for repairing the damage done to a kid who spent their life around right wing nutters? That would get expensive in Texas-and you know how these assholes don't like to share and pay taxes!

Texas has the longest constitution of all of the states. Proof that being a long-winded blowhard doesn't mean you actually have something of value to say....There is actually something in there about belief in angels being a requirement for serving in Texas government-wow. The true definition of "holy shit."

Why do I have to believe in a Supreme Being? I have proof of a Taco Supreme but not of a Supreme Being.
