Florida Students need America's Support to Stop School Shootings.

These students are on the right track, as Australia, Canada, Britain and Japan all prove that the way to stop Gun Violence is through banning guns.

Australia, Britain and Canada all have the same mental health problems with students and men, but they don't have the school shootings that America has, like 3 in a month, and likely to get more with the shooters getting coverage on media, thus giving them more encouragement as most shooters seek recognition and the mass and social media is giving them the recognition they desire.

So there are bound to be more shootings, because of this factor alone.

So just stopping loons from having guns is not going to stop those who are clever at deception or slip through the screening cracks.

Oregon's blocking domestic abusers from having guns is a great start, and likely this was a product of these Florida student's protesting.

So it is about time, or decades too late for such a movement as these students are spurring on to arise.

Americans should have been proactive like these students after Sandy Hook, but the NRA has been too powerful and clever in its deception of the American public and purchasing politicians.

So it has been too late for many, like 30,000 people who die from shootings every year.

In Australia not only did mass shootings completely stop, but gun deaths across the board, like from gun related crimes and suicides dropped by over 50%.

So banning guns would save more than 15,000 American lives every year.

So these students need all the support America can muster.

These students are proving themselves to be Rational Critical Thinkers.

They are not accepting the BS form the likes of Dumb Gov't Members like Rubio and Trump.

I agree with you, Dyslexic's Dog! Without guns, these "usually mentally unstable and insecure" would not have the power they seek; If they don't have guns they would be unable to murder as many as they do. With a knife, they could still be killers, but not of so many innocent ones.

Their anger and sense of powerless will not end, even if we have no guns. That is the tragic story of the mass shooter who seeks attention, they now know that if they have the power of life and death over others, they will gain attention. Look at the many ways we are vulnerable from small town to giant cities. Water, electric power lines, dams, need I identify more ways they can use to get our attention?

They are like the rapist who does not rape for sex but for power over another human being.

True Joan,

Shooters are usually mentally unstable and insecure, but without a gun, they are less harmful and the gun empowers them.

Even empowers them to take their own life when times get tough.

Though guns are now the third biggest of children.

So not only would removing guns, remove the temptation to shoot others and themselves, it will save the lives of many children.

Yes Michael.

What do they want to be like, Australia, Britain, Canada, Japan?

Americans still value their guns and the defunct Second Amendment.

Yes, America is seen by us Australians as a Nation of Loons.

Trump has confirmed this with his Cabinet of Dropkicks who have no idea of what they are doing and all are only after the money they can make from donors and companies they pander to like the NRA.

America under Trump is a Banana Republic.

What do researchers find in regard to mass shootings, media coverage, shooters, rampage shooters, shooter profiles, violence, mental health of shooter?

"Most shooters desired fame and wished to emulate a previous mass shooter"

"Rampage shooters, who are almost all White men in early adulthood seek power and dominance that they perceive is their right, but perceive they are being denied, for various reasons, by society."

"Profiles of shooters indicate that they are often socially isolated and suffer a pattern of ostracization or bullying, yet they tend toward narcissism."

"Up to 90% of men fantasize about murder. What tips the scales from fantasy to reality? Identification with prior mass shooters made famous by extensive media coverage, including names, faces, writings, and detailed accounts of their lives and backgrounds, is a more powerful push toward violence than mental health status or even access to guns."

"The violent media contagion effect was largely ignored by criminologists and psychologists, but more recently the evidence of the power of copycat homicide is mounting."

The students do need our support in every way. I find it strange that some can see what is going on and they accurately write about it, but then say we do not want to be like Australia. OK. Please define what we DO want to be like. We are turning into a nation of loonies. Nobody cares because of the money to be made. Is this what we want to continue with? We have also lost the value of human life and need to address that issue.

It's not about gods. It's about people feeling they are slighted, have to win at all costs, screw the other guy, etc. Something went wrong or offended you. Join the club. Welcome to the real world. We live in a world today where many think you have to give a birthday party to both children when only one had a birthday. Wake up, grow up, and let's fix this.

Yes, Rubio shows that his loyalty belongs to the NRA and not the safety of Americans.  He should get voted out of congress, and hopefully he will if the students get their way.

Rubio's failure to show he cares about American's safety might get him out.

I once liked Marco, I thought he should have led the Republicans and not Trump, but they are pretty much tarred with the same callous brush.

Though Jim Jefferies states it all.

Yeah, I'll have to watch the Vimeo link later.

We don't have the mass shootings here either, but some of those guns are being smuggled in somehow.
