1st ever delivered from dogma show went well

The first ever Delivered From Dogma Freethinker Standup Comedy Show was preformed Sunday April 26th 2009 at Jazzbones in Tacoma Washington to an awesome and very receptive audience of atheists, agnostics and freethinkers.

Special thanks goes out to our Guest Host my Brett "HamBone" Hamil, who had the crowd roaring with laughter from the very word go.

Riggs then preformed a solid 30 minutes of material that as he put it "...we can't really practice when we are in Montana!" He was followed by headliner Jeremy "The Preachers Son" Whitman, [yours truly] who preformed a full hour of comedy and religious commentary with the aid of a few glasses of alcohol.

Special thanks goes out to Jazzbones for being our test venue, as well as our first ever heathen audience. We all have very high hopes for this show, which is going to steadily EVOLVE into an unstoppable force of comedy and enlightenment.

Upcoming shows at the moment are scheduled for:

-Wednesday April 29th, at the Seattle Comedy Underground ($10)

-May 3rd at Carmen's Comedy Club in Yakima ($10)

-Wednesday May 13th at Laughs Comedy Spot in Kirkland Washington ($10)

All are encouraged to join us for a night or two of hilarious blasphemy while we barbecue some sacred cows.

YouTube clips of the first show will be coming soon depending on how the video turns out.

If anyone would like some posters to put up, let me know. I have some printed.

Ridicule and sarcasm are the best tools to defeat religious pretensions. Poke holes in the windbags. When you think about it, religion offers the comedic mind a never ending source of topics to riff on. We need a national comedy show aimed specifically at religion. Who will be the one to get that going?
