I might have been 15 when AC/DC became popular in the San Francisco area. I was a born again Christian, and they scared the crap out of me back then. Every stoner in town (which was practically every guy in my high school) blasted their satanic message out of his cassete player over the roar of his open headers as he jammed through town and out into the countryside. They toured out here and played at this mega-concert called the "Day on the Green" at this coloseum in Oakland, I think. I might have been 16 when Bon Scott drowned on his own vomit in the back of a limo, I think it was in the spring - praise Jesus!
Honestly, they were never the same again: I never cared for heavy metal - I was a punker and new waver - but AC/DC was always as popular as ever.
Well I guess they really have a deal with the Devil because they just won't die.
They have a new album and you can buy it at Walmart...

LOL I had to laugh when I saw the commercial for their new album selling at Wal-mart...I can remember my youngest son who was going through his 'heavy metal' phase, listening to this group...and I thought for sure he was going to turn out to be a freakin serial killer!..LOL. His black clothes and hair, the kids he started running with...yep, I was worried.
Funny how, when raised religious, a person can see Satan everywhere but in their own conditioning.
btw, my son turned out just fine, in fact, he's probably one of the most compassionate people I've ever known.
