While stalking The Chive (on Gather.com) today, as is my wont, I came across a sickening diatribe against gay people that included the word "Bible". As I skimmed, I saw a shadowy little word appear under the B. word that said "block". As I pointed my cursor at it, it amplified into the message "click here to block this object".
Firefox is as atheist! They know an ad when they see one! They have for some time been protecting me from all the banner garbage that clutters this and other sites...adult diapers, railroads, gawdknows what else...but evidently their newest AdBlock upgrade includes advertising buried in text, as well as on the outskirts of our articles and other stuff we want to see. And they cleverly recognize that any mention of the bible is an advertisement, pure and simple.
This discovery so delights me, I'm ready to offer a major blowjob to whoever invented it, even if he is a teenage Asian kid computerizing algorithmic ditties in his mother's basement. Call me, Little Wang! We have much to discuss.
