Nilknarf Daily Haiku
signs and confused minds
three hundred sixty degrees...
just pick the right one.
Damn, it got late fast tonight.
Pretty laid-back day, for one that started at 02:00....
I did get a nap, though, from about 11:00 until 13:00, and now it's late and I'm not sleepy at all.
Well, maybe a little bit....
Watching the storms, the systems are lining up now from Africa to the Carribean... Gus, Hannah and Ike... and another big system in a trough just coming off the African coast.
I was happy that Gustav kinda fizzled... well, it didn't, but it did lose a lot of power when it hit some dry air in the gulf... "dry" being a relative term, of course.
At least, Gus missed New Orleans mostly, but devastated parts of southern Louisiana.
And Hannah looks like it might climb up the east coast after hitting in the Savannah area....
And nobody has any idea where Ike will go yet, but I have the feeling that it will be the monster this year.
And the weather here today has been fair, but a little too hot for me... close to 90°F; we will get a cool-down on Wednesday, with a high of 64, heh.
I just love this time of year!
I might even get out to the shop and do some work!
Or not... needs some enthusiasm.
But I also need a table next to my recliner to put all of my remotes and keyboard and other assorted computer stuff... and I should be designing it now, so that I could go right into building it.
Lana and I are going out to dinner tomorrow evening, I'm looking forward to that... and I need to go out to dinner with Herman this week, too... we were going to go out last Monday when I was feeling off my feed, so I cancelled on him.
And now I'm gonna put the cat out yet again and go to bed. Callie likes to spend the nights outside and the days sleeping in the basement... she's strange.
Yes, I realize the redundancy of calling a cat strange.
