So today I was sitting at the dinner table with some close friends who are religious. We started talking about something about God, and they said, "Well, you don't believe in God anyway!" What surprised me the most is that they knew I was atheist. I had never told them. I never realized that they read most of my notes on Facebook or read my posts for that matter. When I asked them how that made them feel they said, "You're fun to hang out with, religion doesn't have to ruin that. Plus you never bring up the subject of atheism."
I was really happy to hear this. Now I respect them even more. The next thing is telling my mom I am atheist. With our close family friends knowing, and them backing me up, it should make it a lot easier.
