Coming Monday - the start of a NEW season for ShockNet Radio! It's been awhile, and quite a bit has happened since last season ended back in early November, but the voices behind the mics at ShockNet (http://www.shocknetradio.com/) are ready for another year of information, commentary and music you WON'T hear anywhere else!
You can listen in to ShockNet at the link above or via the FREE Apple iTunes player under Radio and Classic Rock. You can also join in on LIVE conversation via the NEW and IMPROVED ShockNet chat room (no more Java!) by clicking on Chat, then clicking on the Guest box, choosing whatever screen name you wish, selecting the show that's being aired from the drop-down menu and clicking on Log In (chat rooms open from 7:15-10:30 pm ET/4:15-7:30 pm PT) during scheduled programming). And when the best shows on the Net aren't on, you can still enjoy the best classic rock anywhere 24/7/365!
Here's the new schedule for ShockNet Radio (all shows begin at 8 ET/5 PT):
MONDAY: BRUTALLY HONEST - LIVE! with David 2 - a new era begins for The Brutal One as his show (which remains SOCIAL...POLITICAL...IN YOUR FACE...and always BRUTALLY HONEST) returns to its roots - namely, LIVE! David will still comment on the issues of the day, talk about his weekly on-line commentary (which also returned today) and TAKE YOUR CALLS by calling TOLL-FREE (866) 400-6684 during the second half of each show. Talk with David about everything that's going on - and he'll answer your questions from a perspective you WON'T hear on corporate radio!
TUESDAY: The Rock and Roll Diner with CA Wood and RJ Evans (airs every other Tuesday) - Two hours of the tastiest classic rock at Table 13 and the stories behind the songs, all served up piping hot. All this and The Greasy Spoons (the show's chat room regulars) too! It's Fast Food for the Soul!
FRIDAY: Hard Luck Chuck's Juke Joint (airs every other Friday) - The blues aren't just a genre of music. It's an American original - from the earliest Mississippi Delta blues to great artists such as Howlin' Wolf, Bobby Blue Bland, B.B. King, Albert King and R.L. Burnside (among others) to the great Chess records artists to today's blues singers/players such as Shemekia Copeland and Marquise Knox, join Chuck Doswell as he turns from being 2Buck Chuck to Hard Luck Chuck for two hours of great blues music. It's the place where the music's always hot and the beer's always cold.
SUNDAY: VOR: Insights with Al Stefanelli - The Godfather of Reason gets his own half-hour show on ShockNet, and he'll comment on the issues facing us all from a perspective of reason and freethought. If you're looking for the same old, same old commentary on what's going on, you WON'T find it here!
All of these shows begin Monday evening - tune in and hear perspectives and music you WON'T hear anywhere else! See you tonight!
