I just heard Val Kilmer say on CNN video that a lot of artist are just too sensitive for the world.  He was talking about what he learned through playing characters who are taking drugs to numb the pains of mortality.  I heard Dr. Drew say that people should not ignore the need for counseling and therapy.  What are your thoughts of the loss?

I have this theory that most very creative people are abnormal in ways. You can't be extraordinary if you're ordinary. Also, drugs are very prevalent around music. At all levels. It's pretty easy for people to fall in that trap. Sad. I wasn't crazy about Amy, but all the other 27 Clubbers are favorites of mine.

Good point about artist and personalities.  I always wonder though what is missing when people are hurt by drugs or other thing.  I guess it just hurts to lose people.

I'm always saddened by the loss of someone. From what I read in the past about her, I am not surprised she has added herself to the "Deceased Artists at 27" list. Val specified artists as a general statement? I think it's just some personalities in general that are like that. Artists are just in the limelight for us to see this type so closely.
