Anti-atheist-ad bus driver returns to work - no guarantees

The bus driver who refused to drive a Des Moines area transit bus last week that had the above atheist ad on it has returned to work. Angela Shiel, refused to take over the bus, which had passengers on it and was in mid-route, because she felt the ads were against her religion. She was suspended from her job after the incident and faced termination.

Now Shiel is back at work with no guarantee that she will not be faced once again with the same "dilemma." Chances are that she could be assigned once again to a bus that carries the Iowa Atheists and Freethinkers (IAF) ad.

Here's my concern. Let's say we're wrong. Let's say there really is a god, and he's not Ra, or Thor, or Quetzalcoatl, or Dolly Parton, he's really Yahweh. Furthermore, let's say you are riding in the bus when the rapture comes. If you're riding the bus that Shiel's driving, then she's gonna get zapped straight to heaven, the bus is gonna careem off the bridge and kill everyone on board. Your atheist ass is headed straight to hell. But if you are in a heathen-driven bus, the driver stays glued in her set, and you are safe and secure.

Which bus would you rather be on?

Should Angela be reinstated? Huh?

Lame is as lame does. Probably using the atheist/theist debate for time off. Still reeling from the exposition of fascism by a few guests on Bill Maher's Real Time. He has all the fun but at what cost? Funny how Leno said to Jeremey 'why are'nt you dead yet...'

typical fascist statement! Sounds like my last manager at the papermill. : P
