Well, k. hughes, I found the source of the TV bible ads in the St. Louis area. Searched the Internet and found it to be Jeff Perry. He's a man that started the St. Louis christian church and he comes across as someone who could be your friend and you would have him over to your house, etc. He and his wife, Patsy, started that church in the 1990's and I give him credit for NOT saying anything about his organization in the ads. That makes him believable to me, and also knowing that some big organization is not behind it. In fact, I'm more at home with it knowing that some big group is not behind it. I was scared to death that it would be a right wing political party or something. Glad I found this all out.

I encourage everybody to search such TV ads in their area so we can all know if we have an organization to be concerned with. We should never allow politics to be mixed with god. That's a bad combination, greatly violating separation of church and state.

Dennis, there must be some church group behind it. Or right wing political party.  I'm sick of it too.  And why do I get those damned ads on this website for christian mingle or bible study?  Those people are gonna 'save' us in spite of ourselves.  And that's something else.  Why is it every right wing, religious, doomsday prepper, nut job, has patriot or american or conservative in their title?  Are the rest of us less american because we don't follow join their organization? Or subscribe to their brand of screw em politics?

I certainly agree. However, if any superstition lingers you could claim to be a Calvinist in religious belief and be fully aware of "once saved always saved." Then you just continue to do whatever you want. Some people have a rabbits foot, but a "get out of Hell free" card is always a plus too.

BTW, who is responsible for the various commercials on TV about "accepting jesus" and "getting right with god?" I'm sick of that and it should not be allowed. A person doesn't even know who to complain to, and I find it annoying.
