An atheist blogger recently outlined her experience as a commuting prisoner of a loud-mouther Bible Banger. http://www.atheistnexus.org/profiles/blogs/jesus-had-followers-not
It made me think about what I could do to counter such an anti-social attack. Perhaps a humorous counter attack might work.
I am thinking of preparing a mini book of not-so-nice Bible quotes which I carry with me at all times in preparation for a similar attack. Then with a loud voice I can cry to the masses as follows:
“Ma’am, you do not preach the full Word of the Lord! If you are not preaching the Full Word of the Lord his wrath will surely be upon you. Listen as I read you what the Bible says is the Word of the Lord.
<…..read a not-so-nice passage….>
“How many times have you followed this example in your life, ma’am? Once? Twice? Thrice? Or do you admit that you have never accepted this part of the Word of the Lord into your heart?
“There is more. If you have a Bible with you, ma’am, please turn to (quote book, chapter and verse)”
<…..read another not-so-nice passage….>
“Have you followed this example in your life, ma’am? Have you (insert implications) ? Are you supporting those who follow God’s example here?”
And so on.
I challenge inventive readers to write, or assist in writing a comedy routine based on this idea.
