"A Matter Of Faith", A Drama to Creationists: A Comedy For Those With Functional Minds!

I particularly like this review of the Movie:

"I’ve never been more insulted watching a film before. The universe created by Rich and David Christiano contains Christian characters who are so vapid and unaware, so unintelligent and clueless that they could have been created by atheists trying to spoof the intelligence of Christians. Likewise, the atheists in the film are so clueless as to their own ability to properly explain evolutionary theory that they could have just as easily been created by Christian’s who were trying to spoof atheists."

"If this premise sounds strangely familiar, it could be that you’re remembering “God’s Not Dead,” a film released in March, in which a Christian student who — horrified by the fact that his philosophy professor is a committed atheist — challenges the dastardly nonbeliever to a debate on the existence of God that, no doubt, settled the matter once and for all.

(I’m told that the new movie was called “Christians vs. the Straw Man II: This Time It’s Personal” throughout production, before filmmakers decided to rename it “A Matter of Faith.”)"

Yes, just another Pseudo-Christian (Young Earth Creationist / Intelligent Design ) pseudo-scientific attack on higher education, this time using a pseudo-biology professor who with his attitude and knowledge would be struggling with secondary school year 8 biology, let alone being a professor in that field.

Thus, they are setting up another Straw-Man, fallacious attack on Science with Faith (Belief Without Evidence).

We all know full well, science can only understand and comprehend Evidence, believing without evidence in magic (god's work) cannot ever be considered by science.

There is a simple reason why Science cannot ever consider Faith as it has no evidence and without evidence, there is no methodology possible to make predictions from it.

Any scientific concept/hypothesis/theory must be able to make valid predictions.

If as in deductive logic, a premise has no evidence, nor consistent properties, predictions cannot be made, thus all conclusions from a premise of god, are invalidated, by the lack of evidence for any truth in the initial premise.

This is why god will never be considered in any science class, apart from psychology and neurology where they study, why humans have the concept of god in the first place.

If Creationists want science to consider god, then they will have to be happy with such research by psychology and neurology, questioning the existence of god in the human mind.

For all other sciences, god is inconsequential, absurd and completely non-sequitur.

Though, when you really think about it, the movie is so ridiculously idiotic and benign that it is actually funny. There are "As If's" all the way through the trailer, thus even more in the movie itself. The depiction of a Biology Professor with no more knowledge of Evolution than a seventh grader at any public school, itself is hilarious. It even ends with a MASSIVE AS IF, when Extreme Stupidity wins over Sanity!

The funny thing about "God is Not Dead" is Kevin Sorbo's character's naivety of arguments against such apologetics used by the so called hero.

He didn't even voice the argument concerning the stupidity of god not being able to simply forgive, and instead had to sacrifice an avatar of himself, which knew it had to be sacrificed, so really there was nothing gained by the stupid practice.

If god was even a little bit rational, it could simply have forgiven, instead of waste the lives of its avatar and those following it around.

Yes Michael, "God Is Not Dead", hardly a boxoffice hit, yet it did bring in some cash.

Essentially the same plot, with even less understanding of the subject.

At least they did show some genuine philosophical concepts in that rotten tomato.

There were absolutely no evolution knowledge presented in this effort apart from a misuse of the term.

Thus, even 8th graders are likely to find their lack of knowledge amusing.

As it brings a professor of biology character down to their level.

Which came first, the chicken or the egg? It's the same species and also about as far as any Christian would go to answer the subject. In their world evolution must have a vat of tiny arms and legs somewhere just like clock argument with gears and wheels. Of course it's nonsense. You were created and that's why you have a belly button. You were created by your parents.

Why is everyone in this movie trailer developed at about 8th grade level? OIC. It means that "God Is Not Dead" did make a little money so they will try it again.

Though I have heard that Creationist groups are losing followers, there is drama in their camp, Kentucky has not allowed public funding to assist Answers-in-Genesis in building their Ark Encounters theme park.

Too much money and no knowledge of the subjects they depicted in the movie.

There is certainly no knowledge of Evolution shown in the entire movie.

Which actually makes it extremely funny!

Thus my change of title for this blog.

I think the people who made this movie have a little too much time and money on their hands.
