If you believe he does, consider this:

We probably still have much to learn about what happened in Paris last Friday night, but there is one thing we can be 100% certain of. Before those bastards started out on their mission, they would have prayed to God. They would have asked for his full support for what they were about to do. They probably prayed while they were spraying bullets into people's bodies.

Given that they killed more than 100 people, injured hundreds more, caused panic and chaos and have achieved incredible press coverage, nobody can argue their mission wasn't successful.

So, if god does answer prayers, just whose prayers did he answer that night?

Prayers are no more than a logical extension of religious delusion. If we start with an acceptance of magic the rest follows as a natural magical reality with no boundaries. Lets pray people will see they haven't got a prayer.

Very true. Believers also think that they are protected by god. How about the many Christians in WW2 who tried repeatedly to shoot each other and the bullets did no harm because they were religious and had the same god? Now explain how god might love you so much that he killed another man just so you could get his liver in a transplant. Was that man only here as a donor, or did god not like him?

Yes, god cannot do the major stuff but he will keep you out of accidents and help you find your car keys. What do I mean? Well, if you've not had an accident just thank god.
