September 12 should have been one of the most embarassing days in the history of the United States for white people here in this country.
The whole world is watching and I get the feeling that no one is even laughing anymore because these "teabaggers" have clearly lapsed into psychosis.
9/12 was a world-class disgrace, and our credibility with the rest of the planet has probably fallen into a gigantic cosmic toilet from which we may never crawl out ...

Implosions are usually violent. I'm also hoping the collateral damage is limited.

T4H (Deb): I wonder if very few Republican officials actually buy into so much of the conspiracy theories, but they passively (or actively) encourage it for political gain. Limbaugh and Beck and their ilk are very popular among the fringe who likely think their numbers are larger than they are. The Pundits tell the base who to vote for, so the politicians have to cater to the Pundits.

At this point, I say let the GOP destroy itself. Its time has come.

Actually, Daniel, teabagging would at least put Beck's mouth to good use. Waste not, want not, I always say.

And T4H (Deb), you're spot on. The Republican Party is imploding down to the dense neutronium core of nutjobs. They are busily purging the party of anybody with a shred of sense. We are witnessing the historic demise of a major political party in the US. They just keep digging themselves in deeper with jerks like Joe Wilson, Glenn Beck, the teabaggers, etc. The reality-based community is left to stand with mouths hanging in shock as the Republican base exposes themselves for what they really are. This is their "At long last, have you left no sense of decency?" moment.

I have to say Cowpunk, I hear where you're coming from. 9-12 makes me want to wear a sign or something that says, "We're not all like that - really we aren't!"

Funny: For 8 years America was the planet's Dumb Bully by virtue of its president. Now we are the planet's Dumb Bully by virtue of our teabaggers.

Plus, I'm sorry, but couldn't they have come up with a better term than teabagger? I mean, it was already in use for something else. It makes me simultaneous nauseated, suicidal, and convulse with laughter to think of Glenn Beck engaging in teabagging.

Glenn Beck is an embarassment to the species, Homo sapiens. In fact, a new species, Homo stupidicus numnutiensis may be set up for him and his followers. Unfortunately, they do have the capacity to breed.

I would say that he's an embarassment to all mammals. However, hamsters and possums are kind of stupid too. Then there are jackasses, but they actually are intelligent.

Well, then is it safe to say that Glenn Beck is an embarassment to white people all over the U.S?

Well, it is kinda dumb to be arguing against universal health care with missing teeth. But since teeth are not the seat of intelligence, I suspect the fault lies elsewhere. And maybe the teeth are missing for a good reason, like repairing eyes. Very cool.

To address the thread topic, I'm not embarrassed to be white, because I'm kinda pink and squishy. I am frequently embarrassed to be human, though.

Just curious... whassup with assuming a person is dumb if they have missing teeth or no teeth? I think it's an ugly stereotype.

Ha! Well, a dog with missing teeth is fairly harmless!
