So I just found out from the boyfriend's sister that their father is doing much better now. Wait, I didn't even say WHY this is good:
Alright. So two weeks ago, my boyfriend's father was hit from the back while he was on his motorcycle. He always was a responsible person(making sure he was seen while on his bike, wore his helmet and such).
Well, he was going to pick up his son(not the boyfriend, but the bf's little brother) and was waiting for the light to change. As this was going on, a woman drove across the intersection and hit him, throwing him 30 to 40 feet in the air.
The worst part was that none of us knew about this for quite a few hours. So that was just dandy. When we heard something, D's grandmother went to SA to asses how it was. Along the way, D's father's girlfriend called saying that he wasn't going to make it. So the message passed down to us, and we began to do what normal people do in that situation: cry alot.
Well, the grandmother makes it, and he's alright except he's barely conscious, has blood on the brain, is bruised from the middle back on down to the point where he's darker than ME, and has too many staples to count holding his head together.
Fast forward a week and some change, and he's alert more, can understand who is talking to him, and can respond. Yay!
I know people might be like "why do you care?" well, because I think he's really awesome and has done nothing but tried to make me feel comfortable when he's around me. Granted, some of his jokes fall flat(like the time he told my boyfriend that I was leaving him for HIM). But all in all he's a jolly guy.
