ever since i saw that "march of the penguins" movie, i've wanted to try a penguin.
they looks so fatty and juicy...

i love fish that live in cold water. and i love chicken.
if you think about it, a penguin is like a cold water chicken.

most of my atheist friends say, that's disgusting! you shouldn't eat a penguin.
but my christian friends say that god gave humans dominion over all the plants and animals.

should i convert to christianity, eat the penguin, and then deconvert back to atheism just to stay safe?

yeah, i think sea lion counts as seafood cuz it has "sea" in its name ;)

can't argue with logic like that!

Well, Dogly, actually I have personally not killed any animals, certain insects out counted. Once a mouse died while in my custody but it had eaten rat poison before. I am not planning to kill any animals in the future either, even those who dress very badly, cause, you know, that could backfire. (Referring to the content of my wardrobe.)

I was reading away at The Humane Atheist site, when, like Alice in Wonderland, I found myself here! Down the rabbit hole. Of course you are joking...pleeeeease. If not, do convert to christianity. Just don't deconvert back to atheism.
I was once bitten by a penguin. Really. And as a child of about 12, I chose to eat whale meat in a Norwegian restaurant in Boston.
As a recovering sadist, I mean as a vegan, I don't do mean stuff like that anymore.
And to Ann, do you really choose to kill an animal or not depending on how 'cute' he is? Say it ain't true.

Haha, Pat, tuxedos would add the event a nice cannibalistic touch.

Somehow I'm not surprised about how penguins taste. If they were good, they would have be eaten already. Or cultivated..
Sea lion and walrus on the other hand... hmm, do they qualify as sea-food?

i found a good description of what penguin tastes like here:

it sounds pretty awful, actually!!

maybe i need to stick to sea lion and walrus.... :(

How would you prepare it? Roasted with cornbread stuffing, cut up and fried, or maybe stewed penquin with dumplings.

Not all Penguins are an endangered species, but some are, so choose carefully which one you're going to eat. If you can stop yourself from eating an endangered species that would be swell, please don't choose an adult cause that might be a bit tough to bite through.

Oh, and if you really want to go for the penguin tasting experience, try to do it like a sea leopard, eat the fatty part underneath the skin and throw away all the bones and meat.

I Iceland they eat puffins maybe you should ask them folks up there how it tastes, seems to be the closest experience to eating a penguin.

I believe penguins are an endangered species which puts eating them out. However, you are welcome to eat cute animals which are not endangered. May I suggest guinea pigs? Or hamsters perhaps?
