my family never goes to church, and yet it's assumed we all believe in the big Sky Daddy. Holidays were so secular I did know for years that they had some religious 'reason' for their existence. The only vaguely religious thing we did was not eat meat on Good Friday, which happens to be today.

So in honor of the one religious thing my mother insists we do...I'm making myself steak fajitas for dinner. :)

P.S. - I'm in VA, they're in MD. So it's cool. So sneaky of me, I know... ;)

We're not supposed to eat meat on good friday? Bummer. That roast lamb I had was delicious.

steak fajitas are yummy. Hence they are significant. ^__^ Honestly, I don't get the whole not eating meat on Good Friday thing...but then, I just don't understand religion...

The fajitas at the taco joint across the street from my house are heavenly. I worship them.

I'm slightly puzzled why a steak fajita has religious significance.

Haha, lucky you. My mother has not cooked meat for the last 6 or 7 fridays (because the stupid tradition catholics hold here in México, for Lent or whatever).
I was planning in throwing a barbeque today with my friend (he's an atheist too)... It would've been fun.

I think all us atheists should flock to fast food restaurants and eat up all the fish sandwiches we can get our hands on. The Catholics will just eat burgers because they can't be bothered to go someplace else! O NO!
