Ket's Weekly(ish) Anime Recommendation!™

It's that time again!

This week's recommendation won't take much time out of your busy week! In fact, it has just six 15 minute episodes, making for an about-as-much-time-as-your-standard-movie experience.

Androids have become commonplace in society, and are held to Asimov's Laws. All androids are identified by rings above their heads. While checking the household android's location records, a teenage student notices an anomaly. A message reading, simply "Are you enjoying the Time of Eve?"

Curiosity leads him to a nondescript door in an alleyway and a small cafe where the only rule is that there will be no discrimination between humans and androids. All status rings are deactivated and there is no way to tell who is android and who is human...

This anime speaks to what it means to be human and what it is to love.

It's not very interesting for the first dozen episodes, but then it gets steadily better and doesn't just rely on a linear escalation of action to maintain your attention. The show has actual depth, and a very thought-provoking philosophical underpinning that does well to show differences in perspective.

If I had to choose, I'd say Naruto is probably my favorite show ever, and I've watched lots of TV my friend. I definitely recommend checking it out.

Ha!  I've never watched it or had the desire to.

True story :)
