Isn't it good that we, as atheists, understand that none of the Judaeo-Christian/Islam religions are true; in fact, that no religion is "true." What a discovery we have made!

It seems to me that there is a lot of "make believe" and also a lot of "I don't know" in any discussion about a god being. The purpose of the believer is to distract you in many "I don't know" type discussions so they can point out that they DO know. Apparently you will believe in their "make believe" god once you get to this point. That's when we start finding god in a sunset, or in the smile of a baby.
We also find that logic went out the window once we get here.
As an agnostic atheist, I wouldn't say that no religion is true. I would say that humans have no evidence for the existence of anything supernatural that is purposefully manipulating our reality.
In particular, I have deep doubts of the Abrahamic religions; Knowledge of their origins, their current dogmas, and behavior of their members are all quite condemning.
Aron Ra is ALL OVER YouTube, and yes he is also published. His book is based on perhaps his best known video series, Foundational Falsehoods of Creationism and just came out last year. Aron is one sharp cookie and very much worth getting to know.I should also mention that I met him at the Reason Rally last year. He is a decent and gentle man.
That's great! Is this just talks, or YouTube or is he published? And where can I hear this?
A point which I've heard Aron Ra make several times in his talks is that what believers do is literally "make-believe." This is to say they MAKE themselves BELIEVE that their bible and everything in it is the unvarnished truth. Of course, what happens immediately after is that he utterly dismantles their illusory make-believe with the skill and precision of a surgeon at his work! And so it goes...-- Linda Ellerbee
