I've had this dream ever since I noticed a little subdevelopment go in south of our town. Within a short amount of time, it had a state sign announcing it as the town of "Saddlebrook". I was aghast that this tiny little spot could suddenly appear and call itself a town, with the state's blessings (!) in such a short amount of time! And you can't even see any houses! Just roads! (I'm sure there are houses somewhere....like over the hill or something...surely....).
So that got me thinking. I want my own little town.
For the name....well, you know how subdivisions always seem to have 2 nature-themed words for their name? Oak Lawn, Rivercrest, Green Hills, Fox Run, etc.? In keeping with that tradition, here is the name for MY town: Morningwood Estates. OK. Some of you are laughing, right? Probably more men, than women. Women don't tend to get those things (I was a guy in a past life). You'll have to think the name is funny to gain entrance, so get with the program, you sheltered women!
For street names, just in case the town name isn't questionable enough, I want only semi-risque animal names, like: Titmouse Lane, Beaver Boulevard, Cockatoo Court, Ass Avenue, Nuthatch Road, Woodpecker Drive, etc.
My town will allow only freethinkers and my closest friends, some of whom are not freethinkers, but they are openminded and they have shown their integrity over the years.
All the homes will be strawbale or something better, and we'll use alternative energy sources in order to be off the grid.
We will have a multi-purpose building, part of which will house the school.
I have a lot more ideas, but this is the general overview. It keeps me entertained thinking about it.
