She joined the ranks of the Youtube posters...who knows maybe I'll eventually manage to drag her over here.

It is kind of weird being a white guy that cares about the state of hair fashion and culture in the United States brown people population. All I have to say is let your hair be what it is! Curly is definitely beautiful.

The right-wing blogs said corn rows were inappropriate? Oh, that's hilarious and horribly bigoted all at the same time.

Some people will be upset that their hair is relaxed, and some will think it appropriate. I think it is sad that people think it is neccessary, but in the end it is a fashion choice. I hope for the day with the first lady goes natural, personally.

That's what got her looking up stuff and posting about it. I think we'll be going to see that movie next weekend.

Your wife is indeed awesome. I will be passing her video on to a number of people who will appreciate it, or who need to answer the clue phone.

I've been a big fan of natural hair since I was a wee girl. I've heard horror stories about hot combs, straighteners, etc... I'm sure you already know what a big issue hair is in black communities, and yes.... black people sometimes don't get jobs because they have natural hair.

My daughter has thick curly hair and she HATES that it's not straight, and spends hours tending it.

Girls with beautifully curly hair want it straight. Girls with amazingly straight hair want curls. It's human nature. It's what keeps cosmetologists in business. I think it's a little sad, but to each her own.

Very lovely wife, Stephan.

Indeed I am a very lucky man. I say I've won the girl (woman if you prefer) lottery =P

As someone that does hair for a living, I'm inclined to agree. Using a relaxer is one of the most damaging things that can be done to hair, it can also cause a lot of breakage. Why ruin a perfectly beautiful head of hair?
