I was greatly amused last week to see that my husband pulled out "Baby's First Mythos" to read to our son at bedtime.
The kid may end up learning about Cthulhu before he learns about Jesus! Which is fine with me, because he will probably use that knowledge more in certain circles and at certain times in his life.
We also have a children's book about Noah's Ark. I don't object to it at all. He will probably need to know the Noah's Ark story by the time he reaches kindergarten, to get all the cultural references he'll be hearing. And if Noah's Ark doesn't make a good children's story, well, it's not much good for anything else, so he may as well hear it now while it's interesting.
