I'm not sure which is worse. The people that come up with and spew out nonsense religious arguments or the people that hear the nonsense religious argument and say, "wow that was brilliant that'll show the nonbelievers." It's bad enough that the people saying it are too illogical to understand why the argument is nonsense, but to hear it and be amazed at the bad logic is just sad beyond words. I think I'd have to go with the speaker as being the sadder case. Not only do they think the argument is a good one they're retelling it. Ultimately it just makes me sad that there's so many people in the world that simply do not posses the skill to think thinks through.

I just recently had the watchmaker video from that site sent to me. I replied to the sender with some videos detailing the science of how evolution works. He of course wouldn't watch them. :(

I'm going to suggest you look at something horrible. I actually urge you not to spend more time reading these than absolutely necessary but these came up in a discussion about the merits of faith in another online forum I use a few days ago.

It's a series of comics with 'conversion stories' with all the usual soft bigotry, fallacious arguments, riot of non sequiturs and ridiculous assertions and false conclusions that we can expect, but it makes the point: this is how a) all theists wish or think their nonsense religious arguments go. b) This is what a "wow that was brilliant" moment is like.

And that's depressing.

Like you I'm not sure which is worse. If you like reading with your jaw hanging open, or alternatively shouting at your computer, I recommend in particular the comics on 'evolution' , 'pornography' and 'homosexuality'.

But bring a towel; you'll feel dirty after reading.....
