I had to go to a meeting today for work and it included a PowerPoint presentation. There was a quote on one slide from a person that had the word "organism" in it. However the presenter accidentally said "orgasm" and didn't even notice! I am not trying to judge—I make mistakes all the time. But it was funny. :)
Here's a refresher on the two words:
an individual animal, plant, or single-celled life form.
• the material structure of such an individual : the heart's contribution to the maintenance of the human organism.
• a whole with interdependent parts, likened to a living being : the upper strata of the American social organism.
a climax of sexual excitement, characterized by feelings of pleasure centered in the genitals and (in men) experienced as an accompaniment to ejaculation.
