Per prior blog post: Pat Condell takes on Anjem Choudary

If you're unfamiliar with Anjem (Andy) Choudary, then check out my prior blog post before reading this one. Anjem is every Muslim apologist's nightmare . . . a real piece of work. I first learned of him a day or two ago when Ayaan Hirsi Ali introduced me to him, via FaceBook. Suddenly, I'm running across him everywhere.

I haven't watched any Pat Condell videos for awhile, so I went to YouTube to check for new videos. It turns out that Anjem was the first subject (or should I say target) of the 3 newest videos I haven't yet watched.

I have to say; Pat was in prime form and really skewered Anjem like a roast pig. Without further ado, here's the video.

Presidents, Jesus and popes have always been frequent targets of comedian barbs . . . and nobody wonders if those comedians will be targeted for retaliation. But make fun of Muhammad and there's always an undercurrent of apprehension: is this guy putting a target on his back?

Yeah, Don and Rusty,

Pat tells it like it is and with piercing humor. An atheist attack dog on steroids. Always good for a chuckle.

According to Wikipedia, Anjem was not always a practicing Muslim. Here's a couple of photos of him partying it up in his younger days . . .

Wikipedia had this to say about his party days:

According to a report published in 2006, student friends say he called himself "Andy", drank alcohol, indulged in casual sex, smoked cannabis and even took LSD. A friend was also reported as saying that he expressed anger at the publication of The Satanic Verses by Salman Rushdie. In March 2009 the Daily Mail published photographs of Choudary as a student, which appear to show him drinking, posing with a pornographic magazine, and smoking cannabis. Choudary himself says claims about alcohol and drug use are "all fabricated", although in an interview with The Independent newspaper published later in 2009 he acknowledged "yeah, obviously, I had a period where I was not practising ... I have no shame at all in saying that I didn't always use to be like this. And I have great thanks to Allah that he guided me."

Well . . . that's about all the Anjem I can stomach for now. I've learned more about him than I really wanted to know.

By the way, on the video page of my website (, I have all but the last 3 of Pat's videos. I'll add the last 3 soon.

Hi Loren,

I think Pat is too acerbic for respectable newspaper editorials :-)

No, really, I've never heard mention of any newspaper printing his opinion.

Dumb Question for those of you who might know: Does Pat write op/ed pieces in the Times or the Guardian for those who aren't into YouTube, or is that too 20th century?
