Creationism is a bad excuse of not having enough knowledge of the world.
Creationism and Intelligent design taught in school. That idea might have worked in 1950, but why would it work today? Knowledge is more of an instant thing today and it makes the small, closed society obsolete. It's harder to believe in Noah's Ark today. It's harder to believe in the Garden of Eden today. That's why the fundamentalists of society are fighting back. Their delusion is at stake and they are losing ground. This is why we had a 9/11. That event was about religion too. It's just that it wasn't the religion of most Americans. This sort of thinking is why some nutcase might want to hurry along some nuclear reaction, thinking he is ushering in the "end times" but it's all OK coz "Jebus will be there to help us." This is all very scarey!
We live in a time where knowledge explodes like the "big bang" and can be there instantly if you allow it, but so many think the answer to everything is to bow your head and start talking to yourself. Yep, this is scarey! It's also damned ignorant!
Thanks for posting this. I signed this a few days ago.
Signed and gladly so. It is far past time that superstition had any say at all in our schools.
