Since my upcoming backwards pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago is as symbolic as it is going to be painful on the feet, I've began to wonder if I should see if anyone would be interested in pledging money per kilometer walked which could then be donated to the Ayaan Hirshi Ali Foundation or some other brilliant organization. Any thoughts? I've never done a pledge type thing and don't know if it'd be more work than it's worth, but then again I've never walked a thousand miles between two countries before either. I'd love comments!
