There are lot of people I've met online since I became an atheist, many of them I am glad to call, "friend."  Still, it's something altogether different to MEET these same people in the flesh, or at least be close enough to photograph and hear them speak live.  Being able to do that a few times this past June 4th was as valuable to me as being able to attend the Rally itself, and I am glad to share with you some of those very neat moments here.

Here's Daniel and I.

The storyteller himself, Seth Andrews, and yours truly.

James Randi, putting the smack-down on Facilitated Communication.

David Silverman at the mic, insisting rightly that We Are ATHEISTS.

A young man I admire a lot for his YouTube work: Steve Shives ... along with moi!

Thank Q very much, John de Lancie!

Lawrence Krauss, musing on what happened there 50 years ago.

My first selfie (really!), avec physicist!

Silverman again, having just signed my copy of Fighting God.

Hope you enjoy these!

What a great collection of photos, Loren!  I'm glad you were able to attend the rally.  That goes to you as well, Daniel.  I feel as if your attendance represented all of us here from Atheist|Nexus.

Thanks for sharing, Loren. It takes me back to when I attended the previous rally. James Randi looks the same as he did back then--old and feeble, but feisty.

These photos take me right to the site. Thanks, both Daniel and Loren!

The pleasure was mine as well, Daniel.  It was a privilege to meet you in person, and I hope we both get a chance to do something like that in the future!
