The site is down and I just received a spam message from to go to Don't go!!

I found a Security Scorecard on, reports bad websites, and there were some comments that claim that one of the people from this warez site is taking credit for hacking the servers.

Good point.

But if it was some fanatically religious Christian/Christians behind it, shows just how "defective" he/she/they are as human beings. They go and violently violate the very precepts of their faith and in some warped, twisted, way then think they've struck a blow for Christendom and their imaginary God. And atheists and agnostics are supposed to be attracted to their way of thinking?!

None for me thanks. I'll stick to being as good a moral and ethical atheist as I can be. And, as an aside, I sure do hope none of our people are doing the same kind of stuff.

We're better than that.

There's a discussion in the Richard Dawkins forum: Any leads on who hacked the site this time?

I received the 2 email invitations and thought something was suspicious when I saw the word "warez".

There's no reason to assume it has anything to do with religion, it could be your usual nihilistic / bored / childish hacker.

I ceased being amazed at just how low "Godly" Christians can stoop long ago. But every once in a while you have to scratch your head and wonder what in the freakin' hell are they thinking.

Do they actually think hacking non-theist web-sites is going to bring nonbelievers closer to their imaginary God--or is it "three" Gods? And by extension, what moral, ethical, atheist or agnostic would possibly want to behave like these snakes in the grass? What's the attraction? Get to act morally superior and wear an imaginary halo for acting like them or something?

I also got an invite but did not click on it (must have been the skeptic in me!). I'm glad to hear they are working on the problem.

I wonder if it was a religious person or group that led the attack or not. If some Christians can justify killing abortion doctors, I'm sure some could justify hacking Dawkins' site.

I got two of the invites. Almost took the bait too.

The culprits HAD to be something other than Christians. Christians are utterly incapable of being so daxstardly and evil. They wouldn't dare. Jesus-God would zap em' with a few well-placed lightning-bolts for that. Or is it Father-God that zaps unruly Christians in the butt?

Bloody hackers. They did the most terrible damage to a site "AVSIM", that is for owners of the MS Flight Simulators. It contains thousands of add-on aircraft, scenery, etc. The owners thought they could get it back quickly. It has been a couple of months now and it is still not back. They got their Forum up in about a week so are keeping us informed.

AVISIM is one of the largest souces of addons for the flight sim and the best. I downloaded some scenery I wanted. It needed some software. When I tried to get it it was too late.

Good news. Thanks for the update.

Any other Dawkins Forum members receive one of these e-mails?

The RDF forums are still completely inaccessible.
