Just saw Splice. =3 It was entertaining and the imagery was excellent, but it fell short of any sort of poignant message. I could certainly suspend disbelief for roughly two hours to enjoy the sci-fi/creature feature. Side stories were touched on but never fully explained, and as any good creature feature does, it ran smack into absurdity several times... which is totally okay to laugh at.

Unless you're the herd of pigs that sat behind me in the theatre and talked and laughed the whole time, achieving new levels of theatre obnoxiousness. Sometimes it isn't the 17 year olds that need to be ID'd, it's the 21 year olds.
