I see the Jehova's Witnesses are getting a bit more timid in their sales strategies. I was rudely disrupted one Saturday morning to a Telemarketing Style Conversion Call to save my non-existent soul not too long ago. By the end of the half-hour conversation I had turned her from a word-for-word bible believer into accepting that evolution is a more likely explanation than the two conflicting creation stories in Genesis, and that primitive nomads likely aren't the best people to get plausible explanations about reality from. It was satisfying.

Nice going. I usually do what Father Nature did (above)... click (or shut the door), but since i recently picked up some tracts from the FFRF.org (Dan Barker), I'm now looking forward to JW or mormons coming to the door so I can challenge them to listen to me for 5 minutes first. I'm going to read to them from a tract like "Is America a Christian Nation?" or one of the several others I have. What used to be a real annoyance should be tons of fun!

Word must be out. JW's stay away from my house. I would like to have a conversation with a JW.

Wow. Good for you. I'm impressed that you had the patience to persuade a JW. I usually cut off the pitch in the first 5 seconds with... 'No thanks....I'm NOT INTERESTED...(click)'.

Primitive nomads
Yes that's the ticket, some itinerant sheepherders decided the moral and scientific borders for our society for all eternity. An "eternity" that we are told is going to end soon, every few year, for the last 2000 years.

Good job.

I remember a few years ago my mom had a jehovah's witness come up to her and start talking, following her around, as we were getting ready to leave. We only really ignored her (I was eight or nine at the time), so congrats on taking a more assertive role and managing to help this person think for themselves about their religion..

Well done. I hope one day I get one on the phone or better yet, at my door.

don't fool your self . i work on a J-W for 4 years, i finally got him to understand that they where not the new chosen ones , he in fact he started to bring black J-W to my house so i could explain to them the original doctrine from Charles t Russel, (Russel said wen black people die they will come back white and speak Hebrew in the new world order) , but after all was said and done he went back , i guess he found he add no more friends after being a J-W all is life , how sad for the children of these diluted people
