Seth Andrews' presentation on May 3, 2014 in Albuquerque, NM
Questions that lead to doubt arise as one reads and hears the stories from the bible. I doubt it is healthy or morally sound to take the flesh and blood of christ in communion. I doubt the story of Adam and Eve and the incest implied in the population of the Earth with Homo sapiens. I doubt enslavement of the Hebrew people in Egypt and the walk back to the land that they claim god gave them. I doubt there was a virgin birth even as I doubt the virgin births of Apis. Krishna, Devaki ,Vaasudeva, Buddha, Kabir, Lao-Tsze, Horus, or Ra,
"Throughout history there have been many religions with accounts of virgin birth. These religions predate christianity by thousands of years. Some of these religions include Hinduism, Buddhism, ancient Greeks and ancient Egyptians. Also various religions in places like China and Taiwan."
“in every age and in almost every religion of the Asiatic world, there seems uniformly to have flourished an immemorial tradition that one god had from all eternity begotten another god”
~ Thomas Maurice in Indian Antiquities
"The day will come when the mystical generation of Jesus by the Supreme Being as his father, in the womb of a virgin, will be classed with the fable of the generation of Minerva in the brain of Jupiter"
~ Thomas Jefferson, 1823
