According to Genesis, God gave the world to Adam and Eve, to put it another way, to humanity. But look at the figures in the above link. Nearly 70% of the Earth is covered in salt water, so is generally uninhabitable to mankind. Of the land less than 10% is good, arable farmland. Man is essentially unable to survive on more than 90% of the Earth's surface. Gee, that's some gift. Thank you for your generosity, God.

Florida hurricanes, even when tornadoes accompanied them, failed to persuade me that I am a passenger on a poorly-built vehicle we call Earth. California's earthquakes succeeded.

Hadn't thought about this one.  Just another common sense reason among many that a god didn't create the earth.
