The presidential election is here and I am going to do the same thing I did before, vote for myself.  I think there would be an extreme case in which I vote for someone else.  Does this sound selfish, I don't mean it to be selfish it just feels right to me.   I do not expect to win nor do I really want the job.  I do it because I know that there will not be a legitamite candidate and I want to continue practicing my voting rights in respect for all of our civil rights.  I can't see voting for a religious party anymore.  I see myself voting for a person who does not see war as the answer to problems.  I can see myself voting for someone who believes in not allowing big money to have their way with all.  I can see myself voting for someone who wants to invest in the people.

Brady, my question is when will we have law that provides government by qualified individuals who don't get rich and famous in the process?

I figure the best vote is against the incumbent party. If everyone did that, then we wouldn't have career politicians that "play political games". I would rather see politicians fight for one good term than to see them dance around on issues while in office so they can save face for next election. Politicians know how to string along voters. Talk about the evil of the "other guys" and how they will not be them. Make good promises til they get in office where they can blame the other party for broken promises and point to good compromises.
