I think we are in the same ball park on the common good idea. I just get offended by the use of the term socialist by republicans. Since I did not see Prince leave the scene I don' t know what to call it. That is funny that you got the sexual honey message though.
It's too bad I didn't subscribe to your blog before I lost the entire comment I wrote on it. Now I have to recapture what I said. At least i feel the need to.
I think that you have a very good skill in writing and that is good. It may be a hussle for you to comment that you are not as smart.
First I will try to give you my reasoning to the why question. It may seem rather gray to say this but we (humans) are resources. If we do not find a reason to use ourselves, someone or something will. That comment stings a little doesn't it? I am sure you can create other notions to this but in its essence it is true. For us today I believe that we humans need to learn the term respect in yourself and others to be able to cope with what is. That is to say, if you know "the what" then how do you cope with "the what". In order to cope you must have respect in someway. In simpler terms it is "how do you survive". Survival experts will often say you must keep a positive attitude to survive. You must essentially throw out the term "Why" by making yourself feel worth saving. You have probably seen many examples of people disrespecting each other. It is a sight of verbal or physical war. When people reference tactics of war as the "Art of War" I tend to cringe. I don't think there is an art of war, it's is just war. Two people or parties disrespecting each other enough to crush there character, belief, or body. Self defense is something different being that someone's or some group's greed could drive one to even the score to preserve life (survival). That said it is not art, it is tactics of survival. Art does not defame for the purpose of disrespect or war. Art communicates respect in self and others. So why are we? The "why question" is a slippery enigmatic question without having the ability to cope with the face of "what" by way of respect for yourself and others.
I do not know if this is correct or not but I have heard that the body replaces every cell on a cycle of ten years. If that is the case we continue to evolve with different stardust.
Your comment on Prince leaving an interview in the presense of a jar of honey makes me think of why he may have done that. It is my opinion that he left to preserve his definition being more than common. I think he put a stigma on the jar of honey (food), seeing it as common and drawing attention away from his essence of being. I think it is what is wrong with a lot of us. (sorry for the change in text the computer is not functioning the way I want)
People put a lot of value into money and fame to produce for what they know as success. I tend to think of my self as a resource for the common good. It is what a lot of republicans term as "socialist" To me it is like a republican making water seem bad by the way they call it water. The attitude of dissassociation is really "Antisocial".
At the begining of your blog I was going to say you need a Partner, if you know what I mean, but then I saw that you already have one. You are a thinker for sure.
