And Hi to you too. Tell me, do the discussion groups contain people from all sides, or just "choir" people?

In it you will find some of the traditional cosmological arguments, but there is a lot of different information concerning how theism is wholly incompatible with traditional due process, contractual capacity and standards for admissibility of scientific evidence at trial.

Thanks for the welcome. I wish I had found this site years ago. It would have saved me a lot of wasted time searching for my "faith". Everytime I login I can't get this stupid grin off my face.

Dr. Meaden,
Thank you for the welcome to Nexus. I have been searching for a common group of people who do not believe in the exhistance of a god. I have been doing some research in the past few weeks on people that are currently involved in humanism and where the world is today on these subjects. I came across the name Richard Dawkins who I now understand is a very outspoken atheist among his many acomplishments as a scholar. I just listened to part of a video he created titled "The root of all evil". It was such a fresh breath for me to hear someone speak very openly about religion and its absents of reality. I have felt since my mid-teens that the bible was a book writen by weak men to keep people in control based on its rules. I did not grow up in a strong relgious based family. My fathers side was raised Presbtarian and my mother was raised Catholic but left the church as a result of a nasty priest. I believe that religion is fear based. Money is the name of the game. I moved to South Carolina and was amazed on the size og the churches here and then learned from co-works about tithing your wages to the church. I thought....ohh ok God will love you if you give him money...lol. I attended church 3 times in 1998. I filled out my name on the guest list the first 2 times and donated $5.00 in cash to the church. The third time I attended I did not fill out the guest book and left a check for $5.00. I never head a thing from the church after signing the guest book. Although after depositing my check, I recieved a letter being invited back....hmmm sound fishy to you? I have always tried to be a logical person. I am hoping to find others here that will feel how I do and not be afraid to speak up about it. Thanks again.
