Uh o kinda shy in person huh? In your profile pix you have that quite look, its the eyes.
Duct tape purses, thats too cool, my daughter made a pinata for Spanish this year by using a balloon as the center structure to wrap paper mache around. turned out great. Lets hear it for creativity.
My wife was smart, quite and kinda considered herself an outsider in school, granted she wasnt facing the onslaught you are, but later when she moved out on her own OMG, she was always called the Queen Bitch! She ran the show where ever she went people always want to stand in her glow. So dont let the present beat you about the head and shoulders. So Jewish boy if I recall correctly has gone from hot to straight up sexy, you been eyeballin this situation for awhile, is he attached??

Would love to see a photo of duct tape art that sounds different!:-)
I say go for the jewish boy and protect the 14 year old. You certainly have some knowledge to pass on to him, and you seem like a caring person. But always watch out for yourself. OO Hey check your friend requests!

O wow I see you have met Krista isnt her art work great. I love it.
No question that has got to be a royal pain in the ass, especially on those days whem you just want to be surrounded by like minded ffriends. There has got to be a few other kids who arent into the LDS crap, even if its just to rebel.
But I do believe you its insane we saw an episode of gangland on the history channel and even the bangers were LDS, now thats absurd.

I was fortunate and got to stay home with my kids for four years, but that was after having a very fulfilled independent life of traveling and so on. Stick to your overall plan of collage, and living a little before you settle down and raise a family. Psychology may end up being a good fit with you, but you got plenty of time to figure it out.
I served with two great guys in the Marines who said almost the exact same things about Utah that you say so I fully understand why your hesitant about planting a flag there.

Well you know what, I was gonna put a lot of advice in this comment, but you really know whats going on in your life. You sound as if you have given it much thought, and the conclusions you have drawn are actually impressive.
The more your observe those around you and analyze your interactions the better off you will be down the road.
When you said you knew you were lucky and that your loved , well this is so important. Some people around your age dont think they are loved , they confuse rules ,restrictions, disagreements with cruelty, or dislike. Its good that you seem to know the difference between the two.
So your dads a doctor. Any plans for your future yet? Other than getting out of Utah? Which in my opinion is a geologically beautiful state, course Iv never been there but Iv seen some wonderful films and photos featuring the terrain.

Well Im not like most of the fathers around me, im protective BUT, we have raised her to make her own decisions, we gave and still give her all available info on anything she wants to know about or needs to know about. After that you just smother em in love and hope for the best.
My biggest rule, is simple if its against the law, ya dont do it!! Even when we disagree with the law. Now this applies mostly to drugs and sex. The sex has to stay under the age of 18, and drugs well,..thats really just weed, and the hassle in VA. aint worth it! Plus at some point you have to deal with very dangerous people to get it, all because its illegal. So we need to change that law. BIGTIME!
But ya know we like the same music, I introduce them to most of what I consider the good stuff out there, and the same thing with film we are movie buffs. AND of course we all like video games. If an adult falls out of touch with the younger generations they risk becoming stagnant( in my opinion).
She is 16 however and does cop attitudes( im sure your familiar with this) I have to remember Im 42, and not respond in kind. So there ya go !

But yeah, I agree with you. The Religious KooKoo's will try to fill the ranks by 'saving' someone who doesn't believe in their cult.

I remember telling a woman I worked next to at he first job I got after moving to the Deep South that I was an atheist. She asked why I didn't go out and kill someone, or rob a bank, or kidnap someone. After a while into our conversation, we concluded that believing in HER God does not mean she has superior morals or a conscious. People don't have to believe in a god to be good people or know between Good and Bad. Nevertheless, that was the last time I told someone I work with about my views. Talk about an exhausting effort. It was like talking to a toddler.

Yup, I remember that stage of my life, where I was like, "well, I'm pretty sure there is no God, but, I don't think I'm an Atheist...I just don't believe in anything". After a while, I just realized Atheism is the most common name for those in 'our field'. I just go with it.

Thanks for the reply. I actually have been away from this site for a month now... lost interest. I'm actually not originally from Utah or am in Utah right now, but I have lived there long enough and I do not know any other place better. Here in Mississippi is a different story...

See ya.
