Hey Brian . . .

We're a new group in the Petoskey area that meets once a month; next meeting is at 1pm at the Petoskey Public Library. I know it's a bit of a drive for you, but I thought I'd let you know in case you'd want to attend. Find out more about us at:

Hi Brian! I'm Kris - I host the Aussie/Kiwi group here on Nexus. I'm also the media and communications consultant for the forthcoming "Rise of Atheism" Global Atheist Convention to be held in Melbourne in March 2010. The Convention is being organized jointly by Atheist Alliance International and the Atheist Foundation of Australia.

I wonder if you could let your members know that tickets for the convention are now available online at the Convention website. We are expecting nearly 3,000 delegates, so this convention is going to be huge.

Confirmed speakers include: Richard Dawkins, AC Grayling, PZ Myers, Dan Barker, Peter Singer, Taslima Nasrin and many more.

Anything you can do to help us get the word out would be greatly appreciated.

Is there any reason in particular why your brian was fried so early yesterday Brain? (It's great you made the change to the afternoon shift already, cause it might give you spare time at nights to try to take over the world). Do you want to know something funny? Here people sometimes call me "Rosita", which is my name's diminutive, in english it translates to "Pinky" lol

aw, thank you so much for the alliterative response to my first blog... I really appreciate it B. :) I answered your questions at the blog's comment section (alas, not in alliterations, which would have been proper; I think I already spent all my creative energy for the day.)

I absolutely adore your youtube videos. I find you one of the most "rational" of the youtube atheists.

yeah thats what i've been noticing with the "atheist community" its just all atheism all the time, but the beauty of us all, is that we pride ourselves in free thinking

i recommend you check out some of these topics

humanistic psychology

and several other philosophers like
henry david thoreau

i like coming up with philosophies for information gathering, and how we know what we know (epistemology) and then going from there

anything interesting interests me, ahahha so i think about things in maybe speculation, but use logic, reason, and partial evidence to back it up

the problem with science too (nothing wrong with it really) is its reliance on naturality and empiricism but we can arrive at truth using logic as well

then theres the whole problem of cognitive biases

hit me up if you want to think about some random gnarly ideas

i got plenty floating around in my brain ahahah

im a psychonaut afterall
