About Me:
Religious people irritate me to no end, with their whole "Holier Than Thou" routine...

Atheism proposes positive disbelief rather than the mere suspension of belief. I find it so annoying when people say atheism somehow requires faith. After all, you only need faith when you're talking about something that's in NOT IN ANY WAY verifiable.

Something like a God.

If you're going to tell me that a God exists, you've got to show me some actual proof of his existence. Otherwise, why should I waste my time listening to you?

The burden of proof lies upon religion.

Hi there!  Thank you for wanting to be my friend!  I enjoy the photos and quotes you've been posting very much.

I'm currently re-reading my collection of Robert Ingersoll books because I love his occasional sarcastic and cynical remarks about the buybull and the barbarians who wrote it. He comforts me MUCH more than trying to believe in Jesus ever did.

I'd like to see an illo that makes it explicit that the "sweet baby in the manger" was destined to be nothing but a human sacrifice to his own fragile ego...I'd do it myself, but I don't know Jack about manipulating images.

Keep on posting!

PS: I'm seconding Ruth's invitation for you to join Hang With Friends ...it's very casual and relaxing.  And also a good place to rant about anything...religion, or even personal stuff.  People there are very understanding and tolerant.  Grab your favorite beverage, a cushion, and make yourself comfortable!

My pleasure.  Anything I can help with re: this site, please give a shout.

And while I'm at it, WELCOME to Atheist Nexus!

Considering that pic you posted: "Victim Of Religion," there is a YouTube channel - Religion Hurts Humanity - which I think you would find very supportive of that position.  I've been posting its monthly output: "What religion has contributed to the world this month" to the Religious Discussions portion of this board.

I strongly recommend it.

That's a terrific collection of quote-pix you got there, most I haven't seen before (and I've seen a few!).  EXCELLENT!

Welcome, Dylan! Glad you could join us. :D Very articulate.

Please consider joining a group to meet people and talk about anything that's on your mind, Hang With Friends. You might also like Skeptics and No Nonsense.

I also recommend Eco-Logical and Climate Concerns, since Canada's climate is changing so drastically.

After you've searched for topics of interest in "Groups" above and in the "Forums", don't forget to look at recent activity which hides along the right margin of the page all the way at the bottom.

On a personal note, I’ve developed an animated gif technique, sort of “pull quote marries slideshow”. Samples are scattered across various groups, but you can find them easily by going to my twitter account. Each tweet has a link (after the description and before the hashtags) to a visually rich example here at Atheist Nexus. If you like them, please follow me

Retweeting will spread the word about our climate and draw new people here to Atheist Nexus.
