You and I know it's mythological. I go off on raves about things because others often miss this point altogether. That's why people with money keep trying to have an expedition find the Ark. The lottery comparison is good, but even finding a big wooden boat doesn't mean that they win. I think they should search for Thor's hammer.
It's mythological. Period. I've always treated all religions that way. Like Zeus, the likes of Yahweh and Jesus will move to admired motifs on ancient walls in another five hundred years. You'll see. I enjoy the stories and avoid the practitioners as best I can. Folks like to LARP, so I'm not surprised some will pay to the point they are financially broken for even the possibility of supernatural interventions. It's the lottery, Michael, you can't win if you don't play....
It's one of the biggest stories in the bible and all full of lies. My mother used to tell me that god drew all the animals to Noah's Ark and god made them board the big boat. Finis Jennings Dake often mused as to whether the giants that were in the world in those days helped Noah build the ark. Hey, it's just a story! The wooden boat would not be big enough, would not hold up anyway, and the way it was built the stench alone would have killed all of them. Also, they would have frozen to death on the mountain where the boat landed, and there would have been nothing for a bird to bring back because everything was dead. This includes trees and olive branches.
You could write a book on how this nonsense could never be true, and yet we find morons spending fortunes to discover the ark. How did stupid people get this kind of money? How would you know if you actaully found the ark? Maybe Noah wrote his name on the wall. Oh, please.
Christians have no rationale.
