Is America really the home of the brave? Or is it the home of cowardly little bitches who can't get over something that happened a decade ago? Anyone who has paid attention to our political system or our media over the last 10 year knows the answer to this. The American people have allowed the terrorists to win. No doubt about it. At some point, the nation has to stand up to the fear mongering, and say enough is enough already.

I haven't watched the video, but given the chance, I would like to ask Dusty:

Have we quit commemorating December 7th, 1941 and what happened at Pearl Harbor?  That date and those events are far more distant than those of September 11th, yet they are still remembered by many, and not all those who do so lived during or near that time.  In addition, the attacks of 9/11 actually killed MORE people and did so on the mainland of the United States, where as Hawaii in 1941 was merely an American territory.  Yet we're supposed to blow it off as though it is no longer relevant or matters?

I don't make a big fuss about either date, but neither am I about to dismiss such commemorations out of hand, certainly not when the question of Muslim influence in world politics and events is still an important consideration.  Dusty is out of line here, plain and simple.

I usually like Dusty  but he's wrong here.  I wonder how old he was when 9/11 happened?  It was an act of mass murder.  9/11 changed the course of American history and American government.

What he's right about is that human beings go through tragedies all of the time, and have committed many atrocities that involve much longer periods of history and many, many, many more people - enslavement, mass destruction, theft of lives, property, well being, livlihoods; concentration camps, genocide, and mass discrimination.  Those tragedies and atrocities are beyond description.  But 9/11 was still terrible, an act of war, an act of mass murder, and changed the American zeitgeist.

Joan, of course you are right.  If you want some vernacular, of course you can use shitheads which is an expression free of gender or sexual orientation.  Or to be German about it, scheißkopf or scheisskopf.  Or to be male about it, there's always dickheads.  Or using Dusty's favorite word, dumbfuck would work.

Well, that's my cussing for the day!

Hey! Big guy! No need to blame bitches, go after the brutes!

For those of you who take an interest in words, what would be a male equivalent of "Bitch" that doesn't involve women or GLBTQ?
