The same thing that controls animals controls us which is the laws of physics. To imply that morality exist just because it does implys that ether we are more than physics or that morality is a law of nature. We know that morality isn't a law of nature because it is not energy nor matter nor is consistent.

This means morality is taught to us and accepted by the general population which gives having morality credibility in that it is a positive thing so it is than taught by the parents to the offspring. If a culture includes killing as a positive thing ,ether though honor or survival tactics, than by that culture's taught morality system no one would feel bad that they killed another person so long as the killing was done within the system so by that you can say "well if morality is natural than why does its properties change" the answer to that is simply that we created morality so of course it's subject to change meaning that morality isn't inherited naturally but it is man made.

it [christianity] makes us objects in a cruel experiment whereby we are created sick and commanded to be well...

Christianity offers to solve a problem of its own making! Would you be thankful to a person who cut you with a knife in order to sell you a bandage?
